Top China Analysts Warn: ‘The Chinese Are Preparing for War’ While Biden Is ‘Giving Them Everything That They Want’

During a May 2019 campaign stop, Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden declared China is no competition for the United States, while simultaneously mocking those who disagreed with him — with a comment that riled lawmakers on both sides of the aisle:

“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.”

Can you spell “delusional?”

Biden’s seemingly kid-glove approach to the Communists in Beijing made headlines again just last week, as I covered in Jen Psaki Snags Troubling Term From Noted Foreign Policy Expert Barack Obama and Slaps It on Biden’s China Policy, when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki described Biden’s China policy as “strategic patience” — a strategy made infamous by Barack “Red Line” Obama’s disastrous foreign policy.

While Biden might not be worrying about having his lunch eaten by Xi Jinping & Co., two noted China analysts are worried — and then some.

Gordon Chang, author of “The Coming Collapse of China,” told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that the Chinese are “testing” Biden right now, “but they don’t really have to lift a finger to do this, because he’s giving them everything that they want.”

Also on Sunday’s program, Dr. Jonathan Ward, author of “China’s Vision of Victory,” told Bartiromo that China’s actions are rooted in their belief that they are going to surpass the United States, as reported by Daily Wire.

“I think the thing is, they think that they’re going to beat us in this new Cold War, or whatever we want to call it. The contest with China is one that they believe that they will win.

“They believe that COVID-19 has put them in an advantageous position. They have said for a long time that they’re going to turn crisis into an opportunity, strengthen their position in the world economy.”

Ah, so that’s where former Obama henchman Rahm Emanuel got his “never waste a crisis” admonition to his fellow Democrats. [sarc]

Chang gave Bartiromo several examples of Biden giving China “everything that they want.”

“We have seen this, for instance, with [re]joining the Paris accord, rejoining the World Health Organization, his January 26 memorandum on xenophobic attacks, which he blamed President Trump for xenophobia in the United States.

“The list goes on and on. And we have really got to be concerned, because China is looking right now and thinking it’s going to get everything.”

Obviously, Chang fails to understand that Biden is preoccupied with far more important issues. You know, like Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill, boys on girls’ sports teams, and forcing the U.S.military to pay for so-called “gender reassignment” surgery.

Ward suggested that he’s never seen the Chinese more confident.

“They were the only major economy to grow in 2020. They surpassed the U.S. as the leading destination for FDI (Foreign Direct Investment).

“And many of our companies are heavily dependent on the China market. “So, I think what the new administration is dealing with is this economic contest.

“China knows that, if they become the world’s dominant economy, the rest will fall into place. So, they feel very confident. And they’re going to be quite aggressive. So, the new administration has to be ready for all of that.”

Let’s play a quick game of “Which one of these doesn’t go with the other?”, shall we?

“They were the only major economy to grow in 2020, and they surpassed the U.S. as the leading destination of foreign direct investment.”

“They think they’re going to beat us in this new cold war.”

“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man. They’re not competition for us.”

Did everybody on the planet except for Corn Pop’s pal pick “c”?

Finally, Bartiromo asked Chang about a recent warning in the Global Times, the ChiComs’ state newspaper, that other countries should stay out of China’s affairs, notably Taiwan, which the Communists consider part of Mainland China. His response was unsettling, particularly given Biden’s naive “strategic patience” approach.

Chang was his normal direct self in his answer.

“Well, first of all, the Chinese are preparing for war. They issued new amendments to its national defense law, effective [at] the beginning of this year, which allows the Chinese military to mobilize without civilian control.

“And, indeed, many people say China is just bluffing. But history says that, when countries bluff and threaten war, they usually provoke one.

“So, therefore, all of these maneuvers against Taiwan, these threats against the U.S., they are consequential.”

Gordon — come on, man! They’re not bad folks! And guess what? Regardless of the fact that you are arguably at least as well-versed in understanding Communist China as is anyone in the country? They’re not competition for us.

Calm down, dudes. Joe’s got this.
