Dr. Anthony Fauci was appointed Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of in 1984. He is the highest paid civil servant in the United States government, and ever since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been the face of the American response to the disease. As such he has been presented as being the voice of reason, relying only on the “data” and the “science” to guide his recommendations. Is that an accurate picture of who Fauci is? Or is he, in fact, so intimately connected to Communist China and the Wuhan lab, so as to be completely compromised and devoid of objectivity?^[i]

If you asked the average American today about the relationship between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and COVID-19 you would get – at a minimum – a healthy amount of skepticism. The disease may or may not be the result of Chinese genetic modification of an existing virus, but it is looking increasingly likely that the point of origin of this was a Chinese lab – not a seafood market. Perhaps even more significantly, however, it is now indisputable that the Chinese Communist Party deliberately withheld information from the world for months after the outbreak began thereby effectively guaranteeing that other nations would be unable to get ahead of the crisis and adequately prepare. We may never know exactly how many Americans died as a consequence of these CCP actions.

What has perhaps largely escaped the attention of the average American to date, however, has been the relationship between the Chinese Communist Party and Dr. Fauci, self-proclaimed patron saint of lockdowns and our “only hope” against the deadly scourge of the ongoing pandemic. The exact nature of that relationship has not yet fully been revealed perhaps, but what we do know certainly suggests strongly that somebody else ought to be giving us advice on how to navigate this crisis.

To begin with we know now that Fauci provided funding for “gain of function” research to the same Wuhan lab from which the virus may well have escaped. “Gain of function research” is work designed to make naturally occurring organisms more dangerous to humans. It is based on the premise that by anticipating natural mutations that will eventually occur anyway, scientists are able to begin to develop medicines and vaccines to counter these mutations and be one step ahead when the next pandemic hits.

The dangers of this work are obvious. Firstly, there is no guarantee an engineered new disease will not be turned into a biological weapon. Secondly, even if the scientists involved are truly focused only on the medical uses of their research there is no guarantee a new “super-bug” will not simply escape the lab and begin to infect the human population. While we do not know that this is what happened in Wuhan, it remains one of the possible explanations for the origins of COVID-19. In fact, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines, said that the intelligence community did not agree with the World Health Organization (WHO) report which dismissed the possibility that the COVID-19 virus escaped from a lab in China.

Due to the dangers of “gain of function research” in 2015, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) ordered that all such work would be terminated. This meant that ongoing work inside the United States came to an end. Fauci responded – it appears – by continuing to funnel money, in violation of the CDC order, through a private entity, EcoHealth, to the lab in Wuhan. This funding continued until it was discovered by President Trump in April 2020 and finally cut off.^[ii] ^[iii]

During the timeframe that Fauci was funneling money to the Wuhan lab, it now seems that Chinese military personnel were also present in the lab and conducting work on animal viruses, presumably for the purpose of developing biological weapons. This work apparently had the particular purpose of identifying new diseases found in nature, which could infect humans. Work at the Wuhan lab also attracted the attention of the U.S. State Department during this time period. Reporting from the Department of State raised concerns about risky ‘gain of function” experiments to manipulate coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab.

Until stopped by President Trump in mid-April 2020, Fauci funded both individualChinese researchers and the Wuhan Institute as collaborators with American researchers increating lethal coronaviruses from harmless bat viruses. The Wuhan Institute is a center of China’s biowarfare/biodefense capacity, and itsdirector is China’s top military expert in biowarfare, and yet Fauci shared advanced biowarfarerelatedresearch with and actually funded the Wuhan Institute and its scientists.^[iv]^[v]^[vi]

In order to outsource dangerous viral research from the US to China during theObama moratorium, Fauci prematurely approved the Wuhan Institute as a highest levelcontainment facility (known as BSL-4) capable of safely working with lethal viruses. He did thiswhile knowing the Institute had a very poor safety record and while also knowing that all suchfacilities in China are overseen by the military as part of its biowarfare program. Thus, Faucicreated two grave worldwide threats, the accidental release of a deadly coronavirus and/or its useas a military weapon.^[vii]

A number of media outlets reported on Fauci’s outsourcing of his gain-of-function research to China. The Asia Timespublishedan analysis with this disturbing headline, “Why US outsourced bat virus research to Wuhan,”

followed by the subheading, “US-funded $3.7 million project approved by Trump’s Covid-19 guruDr. Anthony Fauci in 2015 after US ban imposed on ‘monster-germ’ research.”

In April 2020, as COVID-19 spread, the British newspaper Daily Mail Online quoted US Congressman Matt Gaetz as saying: “I’m disgusted to learn that for years the USgovernment has been funding dangerous and cruel animal experiments at the WuhanInstitute, which may have contributed to the global spread of coronavirus, and researchat other labs in China that have virtually no oversight from US authorities.”

An analysis published in May 2020 by M. Dowling in the Independent Sentinel, described Fauci as outsourcing gain-of-function research to China. ^[viii]

We also now know that as the pandemic began and the Chinese Communist Party was desperately attempting to restrict information on the virus and prevent the world from knowing the full scope of the outbreak, Fauci cooperated with the CCP and agreed to their confidentiality terms. Judicial Watch and the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) recently gained access to 301 pages of emails and other records of Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. H. Clifford Lane from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. These documents show that National Institutes of Health (NIH) officials tailored confidentiality forms to China’s terms.

“These new emails show WHO and Fauci’s [National Institutes of Health] gave special accommodations to Chinese communist efforts to control information about COVID-19,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.^[ix]

As Americans were dying and the nation was desperate to understand the threat it faced, Fauci was intent on protecting the interests of a hostile, totalitarian regime.

Fauci’s focus on accommodating the Communist Chinese has apparently not abated. In April Fauci appeared via a Zoom session with Chinese Communist Party “health expert” Dr. Zhong Nanshan. The two discussed COVID-19 policy at an event organized by the University of Edinburgh, which also featured “experts” from the Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization.

Zhong’s comments were largely devoted to attacking the Trump administration. He also trotted out the predictable litany of CCP lies about China’s COVID-19 response and statistics and then credited China’s lockdown policies with winning its battle against COVID-19. Nowhere in any of his comments did Zhong address the fact that lockdowns have never been part of planning for dealing with a pandemic. Nor did he bother to address the now overwhelming evidence that lockdowns have, in fact, failed miserably wherever they have been employed.

Just for good measure, Zhong also presented slides “proving” that Communist China had the world’s best response to the pandemic and the United States the worst.

Fauci endorsed Zhong’s comments, saying, in fact, that he “would underscore everything that Professor Zhong said.” Predictably enough, Fauci’s remarks were picked up and trumpeted by all of the usual Chinese Communist propaganda outlets.^[x]^[xi]^[xii]^[xiii]

The recent disclosure of emails between Fauci and his Chinese counterparts as the pandemic raged last year have only added to the impression that his loyalties lie much more with the Chinese Communist Party than the American people. They show Fauci showing the utmost concern for the sensitivities of Chinese officials while ignoring clear evidence that Beijing was lying and covering up the true scope of the outbreak.^[xiv]

How much more we will learn about Fauci and his ties to the CCP remains unclear. What is certain already is this. The man who has gone to great lengths to portray himself as the savior of average Americans in their time of need seems to have very strong ties to a hostile Communist regime and seems much more concerned about helping that regime cover its tracks than getting to the bottom of how this pandemic really began.^[xv]^[xvi]
